Toby is a PhD student in Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at the University of Manitoba — and part of a movement of young people working to reshape the role of science by taking it out of the lab and into everyday life. In his talk, Toby, aims to inspire people to engage in talking about science, and instill hope that today’s youth are steering us toward a brighter future. Toby Le is a rising star in health research, balancing groundbreaking scientific work with a passion for science communication. As a PhD student with an impressive record of achievements, Toby is already shaping the future of infectious disease research. Beyond the lab, he’s a powerful advocate for science in society, representing Canadian youth at the World Health Organization and leading national initiatives to train students in science communication.
