Victoria Sparks is a Winnipeg-based percussionist known for her work as a soloist, orchestral musician, and chamber performer. She regularly performs with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and serves as Principal Timpani/Percussion with the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, where she premiered works by Sid Robinovitch and Alexina Louie. In 2023, she launched the ReSound Series, a collaborative initiative to support new music in Winnipeg. As a founding member of the Canadian Percussion Network, Victoria promotes the intersection of performance and research for percussionists. She also collaborates with clarinettist Cathy Wood in Viđarneistí, a duo that commissions and premieres works for percussion and clarinet. Victoria teaches at the University of Manitoba in the Desautels Faculty of Music where she teaches percussion and directs the percussion ensemble. She is the founder and director of the MBA Prairie Percussion Workshop and Prairie Brass Camp.
